There is a question that Jon asked that struck me I want to give the answer to it the way my Dad did here on earth. How can I pray for my child who is going off the edge? I will answer it in my next post titled: “A Son Off the Edge”. It is my testimony, James

300 words a day

I’ve been writing here for a long time. There are lot’s of questions I answered. But there isn’t any index to those questions and answers. So I’m going to start working on that. On Fridays, from time to time, I’ll offer a list of the kinds of questions I’m hearing from people, and some of the posts I’ve written that are relevant. I’ll eventually gather these all on a page on 300. Let me know what you think and what questions I should be answering for you.

I feel like I need to fix myself before I come to God:

Do you know the dull feeling the morning after success: The morning after

I used to pray but don’t see the value right now: How can I start praying again

As to the first post (from Jon) the reason you haven’t got any index of questions is because you don’t use categories. You can list a number of subjects or issues as categories and readers could click on which ones they want to read about. It’s like an automatic index.

You can go back to each previous post and hit EDIT, then put in categories that apply (on the right hand side of post.) For example: Prayer, Raising Children; Dealing with Addiction; Church Family Fusses; Saints of Old, etc.

Once you name a category it’s like a permanent file drawer; it will always be there and you can choose the categories as you do each post; just pick those that pertain to what you’re writing about — or add new ones as needed.

Then go into your WIDGETS and hit the Categories button (a little arrow to the right of the word) and click “Drop Down List”. Otherwise you could end up with 25 different categories showing on your front page. (Or you may want this list visible all the time.) Some people do a “Category cloud” which is a list of all the categories in a block form.

If you know all this and just didn’t want to bother with it, I apologize for not minding my own business. When I did my website I didn’t know a thing about categories and I wish I had — it would have saved me a lot of work.

    • My dear sister in Christ Christine, Thank-you for the helpful hints. I really have no idea what I am doing writing a blog! Life looked better back in the days of the pony express but it was not. You are one of God’s treasures! May ask this one question, are you a school teacher? May our Lord keep you and bless you! AMEN! James

Thank you for the compliment; May we all be God’s treasures and also His shining lights in this world.
The only thing I ever “taught” was a few times when I tutored people learning English. 🙂 I enjoyed that very much. English is an incredibly tough language.
Mostly I’m a learner, too and am still learning how the various things work on my blog. (Still haven’t figured out how to insert links in posts, though.)
