Teach Us to Pray

Abba,  Please teach us to pray, we must learn Your ways that lead us to seeing Your Face. Some of us are not skilled in the art of words, for our tongue mixes our thoughts into a maze of words entangled in our mouths. Yet some have grown complacent and a selfish flesh an embezzler of our time spent with You. Still some have grown lazy and apathy has set in as our  bones return to dust. We are men who know not how to express the deepest emotions that are hidden deep inside our soul. We are men who know not how to express the fears that tear our heart apart and cause our faith to grow colder than ice.

In these moments we have no colorful stylistically expressions of words we could speak. Nor do we wish to recite those churchly phrases we so often throw around as if to impress one another. Nor do we have a finely tuned delicately molded prayer to lavish at Yeshua’s feet. Abba let us not offend You when we confine ourselves to repeating petitions as our prayers unwind like an old cuckoo-clock. Please forgive us, for far to long our prayers have been a children’s wish list at Christmas of  I wants. Abba, we have been held captive to long help us be free of these rusty chains!  Abba, could it be we are praying more when we say the least?

Abba, should Your men not have a desirous pleading for Your Will to be done here now on earth as it is in Heaven? Abba, help us to be content with our daily bread, as You keep us from evil. For You are the all-powerful, all-knowing, always loving, always present God that we surrender to. Take our will and remake it into Your will do with us as You desire. Please give the men of God the courage to take captive the next stronghold of hell, give us boldness and vision to expand our boundaries, increase our Faith to seek adventure in finding new horizons. Most of all help us to love You more every day and love Your Will for our lives.

Abba, turn Your face upon us and reach out with Your Holy Spirit as we try to draw near to you. Abba Father, we have been that clanging cymbal and sounding brass far to long. By Your Holy Spirit  we shall once more love Your Laws and love and desire Your will for our lives. We will repent and love one another, we will again love our enemies, we shall seek first Your Kingdom. We shall repent and will once more become Men of One Accord for this is Your Will. Then the Holy Spirit shall sound from Heaven and once more rush in as a mighty wind to the men who are of one accord. The Fire of heaven shall sit upon your men of the Church as many signs and wonders appear. Blind shall see, the lame shall dance, and as the dead rise to life to worship the King. All Glory and Honor Belongs to Yeshua the King of Kings! Father Abba we seek Your Face!

Amen!

The Prayer of a Wanderer

Abba, I am crying for I am in fear for your church in my land for it has wandered. Wandered away from Your guiding presence and Your laws that are the Light to our feet. It is not because You Abba have walked away from Your children it is us who have wandered. We have almost forgotten what is like to look into eyes of love that are always watching.

All we are the sheep that have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own way. Now in these days there is no King in our church, our land, everyone is doing what is right in their own eyes. Our feet of our flesh call to us, I follow them, so I wander into emptiness. In my wandering I have become so empty consumed with self.

Abba , yes I am a prodigal; a child that has wandered to a far away land of selfishness and has forgotten Your way of selflessness. I the prodigal who has forgotten Your forgiveness and the ways I have been taught to forgive. I a prodigal who Has forgotten You Abba are Holy and I have been called to be Holy. I a prodigal that has forgotten You are Aggressive Perfect Love, and I should love as You love: Love my enemy, Love my neighbor as I love myself, Love God with all my heart, mind and soul. I a prodigal in all the many blessings I have taken for granted that has been poured out on me.

Before my Abba I now bow as I acknowledged all my wanderings, all I have forgotten, and all my sins. I plead with You my Abba to be restored to Your lowest of Your low servants. Yeshua I plead to let the restoration of Your Church, Your Bride, first begin in Your lowest servant, me.

I will now arise and begin my walk back to You my Abba. I can even now see my Abba running down the path to meet me. I see my Abba placing His robe of Forgiveness over my shoulders, a ring of Aggressive Love is being placed upon my finger, and a divine kiss of Abba’s limitless Grace has has been given to me Your Child.

Aggressive Love which loved me while I was yet a sinner. Aggressive Love so deeply powerful Yeshua chose to be nailed to a cross. Grace beyond limits and so abounding restoration of a child is guaranteed.

I thank-you Abba for Your Aggressive Love! I thank-you Abba for Your Grace you have given me! I thank-you Abba for this restoration that is guaranteed by Your Blood. I thank-you Yeshua for You are still my Abba Father! Most of all Abba I thank-you that I am still Your son!

Yeshua my Messiah my Abba, I love You!

Amen.

Aggressive Love

Aggressive Love spoke

Let there be light

that divided light and darkness.

Aggressive Love formed

man with His hands

out of the garden’s dust.

Aggressive Love breathed

the breath of free will of life

and man became living.

Before all of this!

Aggressive Love knew

That man would sin,

 man would worship other gods

man would forget the Sabbath

man would lie

man would steal

man would covet

man would commit adultery

man would murder

man would even murder his unborn babies.

Aggressive Love knew

sin was death.

Before all this!

Aggressive Love knew

He was going to leave His throne

become a servant man

live a sinless life.

Aggressive Love knew

He was going to become the sin offering.

Aggressive Love the King of Kings

was going to humble Himself unto death

a bloody painful death

naked on wooden cruel cross,

at the very hands of the man

Aggressive Love breathed

the breath of freewill of life.

Aggressive Love knew

it was the only way to pay

the high price of sin.

Before all this!

Aggressive Love knew

many would still reject Him,

many would deny

His very existence.

Aggressive Love knew

only few would,

receive His free gift of forgiveness,

only the few would truly love Him,

only the few would want to live

with Aggressive Love.

Before all this!

Aggressive Love knew

He is Holy,

He is perfect justice

a God who must judge sin.

Before all this!

Aggressive Love knew

 the world’s wicked nations

would demand Him to pour out wrath

casting them into outer darkness

of Hell’s torment forever.

Aggressive Love

the breath of Free Will

and Life.

He knew all this before!
and yet!

Aggressive Love spoke

Let there be Light.

Aggressive Love

 divided the Light from darkness.

Forever!

Just Checking In

Another Guest Post from My Aunt! I’m not sure if she is the author or not for she has not told me. I do know she writes a lot of poetry of course she is much better than I. Hope you enjoy!

“JUST CHECKING IN”
A minister passing through his church
In the middle of the day,
Decided to pause by the altar
And see who had come to pray.
Just then the back door opened,
A man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw
The man hadn’t shaved in a while.
His shirt was kinda shabby
And his coat was worn and frayed,
The man knelt, he bowed his head,
Then rose and walked away.
In the days that followed,
Each noon time came this chap,
Each time he knelt just for a moment,
A lunch pail in his lap.Well, the minister’s suspicions grew,
With robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop the man and ask him,
‘What are you doing here?’The old man said, he worked down the road.
Lunch was half an hour
Lunchtime was his prayer time,
For finding strength and power.

 ‘I stay only moments, see,
Because the factory is so far away;
As I kneel here talking to the Lord,
This is kinda

what I say: ‘I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I’VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER’S FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON’T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY.’

The minister feeling foolish,
Told Jim, that was fine.
He told the man he was welcome
To come and pray just anytime

Time to go, Jim smiled, said ‘Thanks.’
He hurried to the door.
The minister knelt at the altar,
He’d never done it before.

His cold heart melted, warmed with love,
And met with Jesus there.
As the tears flowed, in his heart,
He repeated old Jim’s prayer:

‘I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I’VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER’S FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON’T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.

SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY.’
Past noon one day, the minister noticed
That old Jim hadn’t come.
As more days passed without Jim,
He began to worry some.

At the factory, he asked about him,
Learning he was ill.

The hospital staff was worried,
But he’d given them a thrill.
The week that Jim was with them,
Brought changes in the ward.
His smiles, a joy contagious.
Changed people, were his reward.

The head nurse couldn’t understand
Why Jim was so glad,
When no flowers, calls or cards came,

Not a visitor he had.
The minister stayed by his bed,
He voiced the nurse’s concern:
No friends came to show they cared.
He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Jim spoke
Up and with a winsome smile;
‘the nurse is wrong, she couldn’t know,
That he’s in here all the while

 Everyday at noon He’s here,
A dear friend of mine, you see,
He sits right down, takes my hand,
Leans over and says to me:

‘I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM,
HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN.

ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY,

I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN TODAY.’

If this blesses you, pass it on. Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart
May God hold you in the palm of His hand
And Angels watch over you.

Please pass this page on to your friends & loved ones. If you aren’t ashamed. Jesus said,

‘ If you are ashamed of me,’ I will be ashamed

Of you before my Father.’

So, FRIEND, this is ME … Just Checking In Today.

With Him

One day I started this walk

With Him,

As His love woos me to Him!

So I believed then prayed!

At first the trail was smooth

there was only a little dust aroused

as I scampered along

With Him.

As I believed then prayed!

Soon the heat beat down

so His Shadow became my  shade

He refreshed me with

His living water

so I pressed on

With Him.

As I believed then prayed!

Down down into a vast deep valley

darkness, depression, and fear

was trying to hide what lie ahead

He became my Light.

As I trodden on

With Him.

As I believed then prayed!

Coldness of bitterness tried to steal away

warmth of my life

His love became the fire

that melted away the icy night

as I toiled on

With Him.

As I believed then prayed!

The road soon turned upward

the gentle incline grew steep

growling hunger pains came from within

He became my bread of life

a nourishing power of Him,

I climbed higher

With Him.

As I believed then prayed!

A narrow mountain trail grew vertical

jagged sharp-edged rocks

razor cuts deep to my bones

a nailed scared touch of His Hand

was all healing of the wounds

I ascended upward,

With Him.

As I believed then prayed!

A missed placed step

a slip, a stumble, a fall

catapulted for sure to succumb on boulders below

His mercy. His grace,

Rescued as I was captured

back into enduring arms,

With Him.

I believed then prayed!

Thieves, robbers, set traps and snares

meaning to entangle

lions and serpents seeking to devour.

He the gentle Shepherd

guided, guarded as I grazed Living Words

drank from the Fruit of the Living Vine

In Him.

 I believed and prayed!

As many a valley I have crossed,

countless mountains have been climbed,

rivers to numerous to count forged,

trials, temptations pitfalls surpassed,

evil’s forces confronted,

sins confessed, weakness turned to strength

for His Glory.

For He is my Fortress, my Rock

my Shepherd, my Light, my Strength,

my Lord, my Messiah, my Love,

my life is

With Him.

 one thing I have learned

is to believe and pray.

These last few miles He now carries me

forward on life’s narrow path,

clutched tightly against His chest

to His Abba Father’s Home

where I shall live at rest forever

With Him,

Yeshua Messiah.

As I believed and prayed!

Amen.

It is the image of God reflected in you that so enrages hell; it is this at which the demons hurl their mightest weapons. ~ William Gurnall
