Would You?

If the woman of your youth
That you made to be your wife
Would leave for another love
Because of Me
Would You?
Still love Me?
If the children that you raised
From their birth
When they are older
Say that they hate you
Never to speak to you again
Because of Me
Would you?
Still love Me?
If everything you own
Even the clothes upon your back
Are gone
You are left to sleep in a sack
Because of Me
Would you?
Still love Me?
If at the age of forty
Pox covers your body
And the food you eat poisons
Because of Me
Would you?
Still love Me?
If you grow so weak
You can longer raise your arms
If there is no one
To care for you
Because of Me
Would You?
Still love Me?
Then my Lord
May I ask?
When the wife of my youth
Left for another love
If I
 Had curse Your Name
Would You?
Still love me?
When the children I
 Had raised from birth
Spoke: I hate you
To be the last words
I heard from them
If I
Had curse Your Name
Would You?
Still love me?
At the age of forty
When the pox covered
And the food did poison
My body
If I
Had curse Your Name
Would You?
Still Love me?
When all these things
You spoke had happened
When I had grown so weak
There was no one
Who was left who cared
If I
Had denied I ever knew You
If I was the only one
 Whoever sinned?
Would You?
Still have died for me?
Would You?
Still Love me?

I once more want to give a special thanks to a post that has inspired this poem:

Monday Quote!

Francis Bacon 1561-1626

The pencil of the Holy Ghost hath laboured more in

describing the afflictions of Job

than the felicities of Solomon.

Free

A warrior name Jim
A warrior caused by fear within.
Brave he look to be
Yet his fear would not let him see.
All love he locked out
One day a Shepherd call his name with shout!
Then whispered peace be Free.

I would like to give the credit for inspiring this poem to “Pieces of Gravity” who is a far better poet than I.

Monday Quote!

Francis Bacon 1792-1871

Prosperity is the blessing  of the Old Testament,

adversity is the blessing of the New.

Holy Morning!

In the morning  fingers

Of orange, violets and reds

 Exploding into pure white light

From God’s only Son

Peel back the cold darkness

Of night

Welcomed by Holy Worshipers

Abba’s precious and delicate song birds

Who are ambassadors

Of heaven’s singers

Leading all of earth’s creatures

All of Abba’s children

To Yeshua Messiah’s throne

In Holy Worship

Bow down to Sing

Praise to our King

The King of Life.

Who was!

Who is!

Who shall always be!

Holy! Holy! Holy!

Is He who

Sits upon the Throne!

Amen!

Would I!

If I had known!

The high tariff

Of that sinful step

Into the dark abyss

Would I?

If I had known!

That blissful ecstasy

Of that sinful step,

Into the dark abyss

Was death!

Would I?

If I had known!

A battle will be needed

To be fought!

Caused by that sinful step,

Into the dark abyss

Would I?

If I had known!

God’s only Son

Would die in my place

So I could freely choose

Life or death

Caused by that sinful step

Into the dark abyss!

Would I?

If I had only known!

I could have bent my knee

To cry Jesus Forgive me!

That would break these chains

Caused by this sinful step

Into the dark abyss!

Would I?

If I had known!

How cold and hard

A heart could be

Caused by just one sinful step

Into the dark abyss!

Would I?

Matthew  Arnold 1822-1888

For this is the true strength of guilty kings,

When they corrupt the souls of those they rule.

Two Years Old!

It was two years ago on April 8, Men of One Accord was born on WordPress. I was thinking it might be fun to do a revisit my first post:

PRAYER IS AN INVITATION

Revelation 3:20, “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door. I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
Prayer is an invitation to God to come into the midst of our needs, our broken lives, our weakness, and our unwillingness to obey God. In prayer, we invite God’s will to take control and submit ourselves to come in line with God’s will. In prayer, we give our lives over to the Holy Spirit, {Jesus}. In prayer, we ask Him to employ His power in alleviation of our sickness, our weakness, and all our distresses. Prayer is using the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven to unlock Heaven’s Power into our lives. Then turning our will into God’s will we ask God to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. When it becomes a willingness to-do whatever the Holy Spirit asks, in the same way we would obey a doctor we have paid to heal a sickness, the unstoppable power flows out of Heaven and into our lives.
That is what Jairus did in Mark 5:22-23; “And behold one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name, and when he saw Him, (Jesus), he fell at His feet and besought Him greatly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she maybe healed and live.”
Prayer is not coaxing God. Prayer is not thrusting our opinions on God. Prayer is not coercing God into our way of doing. Prayer is honest, humble seeking of God’s prefect and just judgments. Prayer is giving our Jesus his Lordship, permission to help as His wisdom, power, and prefect Love directs.
Do real men in prayer take their weakness and limitations to God?
Do real men let God the Father in to give strength for weakness?
Do real men let Jesus give wisdom for folly, guidance in the face of gloom?
Do real men let the Holy Spirit give help in hazards, and prompting for perplexity?
Do real men hear His voice and open the Door?
Prayer is an invitation to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, which brings two lovers into one joyful room, our God and our very hungry soul.

Monday Quote!

Roger Ascham 1515-1568

I said…. How, and why, young children, were sooner allured by love,

than driven by beating, to attain good learning.

The Schoolmaster (1570) preface

If I Look!

If I could just

Look at the cross!

What should I see?

Just a man

A common criminal,

 That man

Should be me.

If I could just

Look at the cross!

What should I see?

Just a man

A thief, a paltrier,

That man

Should be me.

If I just look

At the cross!

What do I see?

My sin Your sin

The entire world’s sin

Covered, drenched

And remove

By blood.

The Blood of the

Innocent Lamb

The Lamb of God

Yeshua Messiah.

The One who sets

us Free.
