Two Years Old!

It was two years ago on April 8, Men of One Accord was born on WordPress. I was thinking it might be fun to do a revisit my first post:

PRAYER IS AN INVITATION

Revelation 3:20, “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door. I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
Prayer is an invitation to God to come into the midst of our needs, our broken lives, our weakness, and our unwillingness to obey God. In prayer, we invite God’s will to take control and submit ourselves to come in line with God’s will. In prayer, we give our lives over to the Holy Spirit, {Jesus}. In prayer, we ask Him to employ His power in alleviation of our sickness, our weakness, and all our distresses. Prayer is using the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven to unlock Heaven’s Power into our lives. Then turning our will into God’s will we ask God to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. When it becomes a willingness to-do whatever the Holy Spirit asks, in the same way we would obey a doctor we have paid to heal a sickness, the unstoppable power flows out of Heaven and into our lives.
That is what Jairus did in Mark 5:22-23; “And behold one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name, and when he saw Him, (Jesus), he fell at His feet and besought Him greatly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she maybe healed and live.”
Prayer is not coaxing God. Prayer is not thrusting our opinions on God. Prayer is not coercing God into our way of doing. Prayer is honest, humble seeking of God’s prefect and just judgments. Prayer is giving our Jesus his Lordship, permission to help as His wisdom, power, and prefect Love directs.
Do real men in prayer take their weakness and limitations to God?
Do real men let God the Father in to give strength for weakness?
Do real men let Jesus give wisdom for folly, guidance in the face of gloom?
Do real men let the Holy Spirit give help in hazards, and prompting for perplexity?
Do real men hear His voice and open the Door?
Prayer is an invitation to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, which brings two lovers into one joyful room, our God and our very hungry soul.
