It is written: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23. Yet there is a gift from God the Father it is His Son Jesus Christ: “For God so the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17. Make no mistake of this God is Holy and because He is Holy if He looks upon sin God must judge sin. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23. What are these wages of sin? To be judged unforgiven and spend all of eternality in hell.
If you are asking what must I do to be save: Confess you are a sinner. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9.
One needs to repent from their sins, stop doing, turn and go the other way: “but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3.
Believe and receive Jesus as your Savior: “But as many received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12.

Just Thinking?

Waiting for the fire works to begin on the 4th of July a friend and I started a conversation about the recent Supreme court ruling on marriage. To make a long story short here is what we came up with: Like the Catholic Church we believe that marriage is as referred to in the Bible is known to be called; The Holy Sacrament of Marriage. Because it is from the Bible and is Holy and falls under the guidelines of a religious practice; What business does the State (Government, Feds) have in getting their nose into saying what is marriage?
One reason is they have made it a tax by making people having to get a marriage license before getting married. A marriage license is a tax on Religion. When the state stuck their nose into issuing marriage licenses they violated the First Amendment. Where is the ACLUASSES, or whatever they are called, you know those people who do not want us to pray period; on fighting for the separation of church and state on this one?
I was just thinking maybe I should not have been thinking so much. What are your thoughts on this?
