Great White Throne

Before the Great White Throne
prostrate I now fall,
for all my life I screamed
There is No God at All!
Oh the fool I did play
claiming where is this Christ
day by day!
A carless man I have been
in fornication and with wealth
I did boldly sin!
A reckless soul of greed
never giving always taking
never doing any good deed.
Prideful, lustful, envious, anger
are my accusers
no time for a babe in a manger!
No time for the Man of Sorrows,
Truth I could not hear
cruel, unmerciful, stoney heart,
cold to the marrow!
Judged,
with perfect Justice,
found guilty,
no mercy I shall receive,
no grace how can this be!
Before the Great White Throne
prostrate I crawl
lamenting, sniffing, whimpering,
Jesus, JESUS!
YOU ARE THE KING OF KINGS!
YOU ARE THE LORD OF LORDS!

Thundering from the Great White Throne
in all Authority
the sentence pronounced,
To Late,
Forever
To Hell you shall go!
Forever and ever
in Hell you shall yowl!

It is written: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23. Yet there is a gift from God the Father it is His Son Jesus Christ: “For God so the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17. Make no mistake of this God is Holy and because He is Holy if He looks upon sin God must judge sin. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23. What are these wages of sin? To be judged unforgiven and spend all of eternality in hell.
If you are asking what must I do to be save: Confess you are a sinner. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9.
One needs to repent from their sins, stop doing, turn and go the other way: “but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3.
Believe and receive Jesus as your Savior: “But as many received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12.

This a very powerful post. It reaches out not only to the lost but also reminds Christians that Jesus’ sacrifice was intended for us all. The post makes a powerful appeal for all to honor our Creator and turn from our sins and confess our sin which is so abhorrent to our God. You make it clear that God does judge in righteousness and we will have the face the result on the last day. Your post really spoke to me. So well done, adding the Bible quotations.   Betsy, I wrote the poem to myself to remind me of the man I once was, yet leaving it at the judement seat without hope would have been remiss of me. Wally suggested I add the way of the cross to the end our hope in anew Life in Christ Jesus. Thank-you Betsy for blessing me once again!
