Award Free Blog
It is so wonderful to be recognized and honored by ones peers I think it not right of me to accept all these awards. I started this blog just to let people know a little about what I have learned about prayer and to bring glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. I know myself I am weak, it takes very little to swell my head and to get off seeking glory for myself. I may even begin to think I am a somebody. For the reasons of wanting to remain a nobody in Christ and wanting Christ to be my everything this blog shall become award free. God bless all who have nominated me for awards and thank-you.
Hi James, I do understand your reasoning and we each have to decide how we will present our Blogs to honour The Lord, so this is not a criticism but I have always appreciated Awards although I have not had the time to Post all the ones I have received but I do seek to thank those I have received them from personally, unless there is a good reason for not doing so, a few times now I have lost all my Inbox when my Computers have crashed, so no doubt I have missed some.
Most of the Awards have quiet a few rules which take a lot of time to fulfil so I don’t accept any pressure to do them in a set time, still I appreciate that we all need to be encouraged and to encourage others, God asks us to do this, some people really value Awards, it encourages them in their sharing and motivates them to give to others and Awards are a tool to be able to do this. The Apostle Paul accepted man’s encouragement as from God, so when I give them or receive them, I do so in thankfulness to God for His goodness, without Him I would not be here to give to others or receive from them.
Christian Love from us both – Anne
Anne, I do not disagree with you about awards at all and awards are good, but for me I know my own heart and wish not to open that door in my Life. Thank-you for this loving comment and the Love of Christ in you. Blessings!
Thank you greatly, for stopping by my blog. I really enjoy what you have here as well, and look forward to seeing future posts. – Daniel
Daniel, I am the one who is grateful to you for your kindness and for following Men of One Accord. My hope and prayer is that in reading you are encouraged and bless by the words you find here on this blog. Now may the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you, Amen.
Oh no! I just noticed this 🙂 I just nominated you the Liebster award. Just so you know, I’m not removing it because its hard to find another good blogger like you- plus I’m too tired 😀 BTW I’m back from such a long time- about to be gone again since I have exams. Just stopping by 🙂
That is OK I love the nomination anyway just because it came from my Littlest Sister! 🙂
I was just about to nominate you 🙂 Wow! You’re amazing, James!
I also think you are pretty amazing Sweet Blessing!
Hi James! I see there is a lot of effort and thought into your blog. Great presentation. Relaxing. Not to mention the great content. I like ” your down to earth ” thoughts. ” a man of the world died and a new man entered the” Heavenly Kingdom .” Awesome and true for all of us . Isn’t this age great when we can all gather under one banner and proclaim the greatness of our king? The prince of the air is not happy !
Your words are so kind and true, we live in the Grace of Christ alone, Amen! God blessings to you I pray.
Just wanted to thank you for liking my post. I do appreciate your “award free blog”
You are very welcome and thank-you along with the Merry-est Christmas!
🙂
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this James. I believe that the Lord led me to read this today. Not receiving awards is a great way to remain humble.
You have been a great blessing to me this day!
Love,
K-Lynté
Let us give thanks to our Lord for He is the one that empressed this upon my heart. Being a nobody for Christ is a life lived to its fullest! Amen!
Blessing to you! 🙂
Hallelujah! Glory be to God!
Blessings to you too James! 🙂
