The Shepherd!

The soft whisper
Of the Shepherd
A warming tone
To the battered heart
His gentle touch
Upon the tear-stained  cheek
His strong arms embrace
The broken one
As He carries
His child home.

This poem was inspired by a blogger, a prayer warrior, and a sister in Christ Jesus. https://betsyborchardt.wordpress.com/2016/09/14/love-is-faithful/

Please take a moment and read her loving words she penned to inspire  my heart!

What’s On My Mind?

Matthew 6

26 “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 27 “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,

This I have noticed; Worring is like paying the interest on a loan you do not owe.

Monday Quote for Tuesday!

I’m here. I love you. I don’t care if you need to stay up crying all night long, I will stay with you. If you need the medication again, go ahead and take it—I will love you through that, as well. If you don’t need the medication, I will love you, too. There’s nothing you can ever do to lose my love. I will protect you until you die, and after your death I will still protect you. I am stronger than Depression and I am braver than Loneliness and nothing will ever exhaust me.”
― Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love

MONDAY Quote!

A. W. Tozer

1897-1963

In almost everything that touches our everyday life on earth,

God is pleased when we’re pleased.
He wills that we be as free as birds
to soar and sing our maker’s praise
without anxiety.

I would like to let everyone know my internet has been down for the past week. I have fallen so far behind in reading everyone’s blogs I will never catch up. I am also very busy with the children’s church this summer. Oh yes I still have a full-time job putting in forty hours or more a week. So if I miss a few of your post I am sorry it I see no way I shall be able to keep up. Please if the Holy Spirit lays it upon your heart please pray for the kids and me, I really have no idea what I am doing. God Bless you all.

Monday Quote!

Jonathan Edwards

1703 ~ 1758

The spirit of bondage works by fear for the slave fears the rod: but love cries, Abba, Father; it disposes us to go to God, and behave ourselves towards God as children; and it gives us clear evidence of our union to God as His children, and so casts out fear. So that it appears that the witness of the Spirit the apostle speaks of, is far from being any whisper, or immediate suggestion or revelation; but that gracious holy effect of the Spirit of God in the hearts of the saints, the disposition and temper of children, appearing in sweet childlike love to God, which casts out fear or a spirit of a slave.”
― Jonathan Edwards,

Listen!

Prayer starts by listening
Listening to Heartbeat of Christ,
His heartbeat is the
Love Song to life
A love song of Grace
Of forgiving Mercies.
His heartbeat is the
Love Song to Peace
Peace in the face of death
A life everlasting.
Listen to heartbeat of Christ,
Prayer starts by listening.

Monday Quote!

John Flavel

1627-1691

Above all the studies in the world, study your own hearts; waste not a minute more of your precious time about frivolous & unsubstantial controversies. My dear flock, I have, according to the grace given me, labored in the course of my ministry among you, to feed you with the heart strengthening bread of practical doctrine, and I do assure you, it is far better you should have the sweet and saving impressions of gospel truths, feelingly and powerfully conveyed to your hearts, than only to understand them by a bare ratiocination, or a dry syllogistical inference. Leave trifling studies to such as have time lying on their hands and know not how to employ it. Remember you are at the door of eternity, and have other work to do. Those hours you spend upon heart-work in your closets, are the golden spots of all your time and will have the sweetest influence up to your last hour.”

Last Days!

In these last days,
Will I see the Holy Spirit fill His children again?
Not with tongues but with Holy Fire!
The same Holy Fire as it was in the first days
The Fire of Pentecost of great signs and wonders!
The signs of speaking words of life boldly beyond ones ability,
The wonders of healing that cannot be explained away.
As the child of the King so filled with Holy Fire passes
The crippled ones the silhouette of Christ
Calls out follow Me!
The crippled ones arise to follow
The Holy Risen Son.
Rekindle the Pentecostal Fire
Let Your Church O Lord be a blaze
Here in these last days!

Forgiveness!

Look and you see a reckless man,
Once a man of the world
Forgiven.
How can this be?
Great is God’s mercy
Yeshua the
Lord of forgiveness.
Look and you see an adulterous
Once a women of the flesh
Forgiven.
How can this be?
Great is God’s compassion
Yeshua the
Lord of forgiveness!
Look and you see a larcenist
Once a man that was a thief
Forgiven.
How can this be?
Great is God’s benevolence
Yeshua the
Lord of forgiveness!
Look and you see a forger
Once a man of no truth
Forgiven.
How can this be?
Great is God’s charity
Yeshua the
Lord of forgiveness!
Look and you see a murderer
Once a man of hate
Forgiven.
How can this be?
Great is God’s sympathy
Yeshua the
Lord of forgiveness!
Look and you see a man
Who has broken all Of God’s laws
Once a man condemned to Hell
Forgiven.
How can this be?
Great is God’s Grace
The Mighty Redeemer
The Slain Lamb of God
The Risen King
The Lord of Forgiveness!
For God So Loves
We only need to
Believe and receive
Yeshua Messiah!

I read a post on Forgiveness and it left me in tears thinking about how great God’s Forgiveness is. So inspire by Patti over at Weekly Word & Much More, I tried to write a poem.

Our Forgiving God
Posted on April 17, 2016 by pattiurlvd

As I told her I have tried many times to write about how Great God’s Forgiveness is and failed. I still believe I have fallen way short of showing how Great God’s Forgiveness is. I have also tried to link back to her post but failed so please head on over there the best way you can and read her post. Thank-you Patti for a great post and God Bless!
