Monday Quotes!

Charles Spurgeon

1834-1892

We have come to a turning point in the road.

If  we turn to the right

mayhap our children and our children’s children

will go that Way;

but if we turn to the left,

generations yet unborn

will curse our names

for having been unfaithful

to God

and to His Word.

Joseph?

Many times I find myself with questions about people I find in the Bible like Joseph the earthy farther of Jesus. The Bible tells me Joseph was a righteous man and so he must have been a good loving husband, and a great farther for Jesus. Jesus being 100% human yet he was still God has some questions that arise in my mind. So if Jesus was 100% human he was also 100% boy. That then would mean someone had to change his diapers, someone had to teach him how to talk, and how to walk. I was a boy once and have raised boys and boys do not look at the world the same way girls do. That too leads me to a whole bunch of new questions. Like:
Was there ever a time when Joseph found Jesus standing in the middle of a puddle of water? Did Joseph then ask Jesus what do think you are doing? Did Jesus reply I am trying to learn how to walk on water. I think there will come a time I may need to do this.?
Did Joseph ever walk into the house when it was pouring rain and ask Mary why is Jesus out in the yard in the rain yelling, peace be still? Mary would reply, You told him practice makes perfect. He thinks he may have to calm a storm someday. Joseph you know boys will be boys!?
Was there a time when Joseph found Jesus sitting beside the road crying holding his dead puppy that just got run over by a chariot? Did Joseph sit down with him and tell him your puppy is in the hands of Yeshua now and will no longer fill any pain? Jesus not a sparrow falls from the sky Yeshua does not see.?
When Jesus had gotten older and was working alongside of Joseph what may have been some of the things Joseph would teach Jesus? Could it have been one day as Joseph and Jesus were walking to work; Joseph said, Look Jesus see how the man puts his hand to the plow? He fixes his eyes on a point ahead of him and he never looks back.?
Another day Joseph may have said, Look Jesus see how the farmer sows his seeds. See how they fall, some fall on the rocky soil, some fall among the thorns, and some fall upon the path, yet there are the ones that fall upon the good soil. Watch and see what happens to the seeds it is the same with Yeshua Word.?
Was there a day at work one day Joseph told Jesus to gather the tools for the man we are working for did not sit down and estimate the money it would take to finish this building.?
I have asked myself and our Abba Father, What kind of man was Joseph.?

Monday Quotes!

Charles Spurgeon

1834-1892

If any of you should ask me for an epitome of the

Christian religion,

I should say it in one

word – Pray.

Live and die without

prayer

and you will pray long enough

when you get to

Hell.

Open Door?

Does an open door always mean it is a calling of God?
My wife and I have now lived in Oak Ridge for a year and gone through the process of finding a church home. We have been led to this very small church which is made up of mostly old people. I can call them old because I am old, yet I refuse to take my place in a rocking chair and wait for rigor mortis. Even though the dead in Christ shall rise first, I’m not dead and neither is God I must stay in the race.
Sunday night the pastor stated to me that they have been praying for someone like my wife and I to come. To which I replied you know not what you have prayed for and received.
Pastor went on to state we have no children’s program and I have read your book. I think you have a great new idea on reaching children.
I answered back you also have no men’s ministry and need a men’s prayer ministry. Without that backbone leading the church and support no one man or woman will succeed. The men of the church need to get off their butts and on their knees in one accord. If I had not been involved in men’s prayer of one accord, Donkey Tells would have never been written.
Needless to say I have been asked if I would start a men’s prayer at my new church. Does an open door always mean it is a calling from God? The first thing that entered my mind is someone needs to take a fire ax to all the rocking chairs and say now let us Pray! Be careful of what you pray for you just might get it!

Monday Quotes!

Charles Spurgeon

1834-1892

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge.

To know is not to be wise.

Many men know a great deal,

and are all the greater fools for it.

There is no fool so great as a knowing fool.

But to know how to use knowledge

is to have wisdom.

Faith Is The Reason

If I was asked to explain faith I would not done a better job than my brother in Christ Jesus Mark has done. God Bless you Mark as you have Blessed others, Amen.

Monday Quotes!

D. L. Moody

“What we need as Christians is to be able to feed ourselves. How many there are who sit helpless and listless, with open mouths, hungry for spiritual things, and the minister has to try to feed them, while the Bible is a feast prepared, into which they never venture.”

Yeshua Messiah is Love

On, “Daily Devotions With Dawn” a new blog I now follow I found a wonderful poem and challenge to write a poem using Love with only four words in ten lines. So took her challenge and the above poem is what I came up for her challenge on her post; https://dailydevotionswithdawn.wordpress.com/2015/03/01/love-in-ten-sentences/

I now like to make a challenge of my own to my readers, in my last two poems God gave me two different lines to meditate on: “God, I want to Get Lost In Your Love” and “Repentance’s Tears”.

Again I ask God what do you want me to do with these, Again He said you know just write.

Here is my challenge to you: Use in a poem one or the other lines or even combine them to write a poem the Holy Spirit writes on your heart.

Then please link back here or add to the comments, thank-you and God Bless!

Repentance’s Tears!

As repentance’s tears

Flow,

a humble man

cries out!

As repentance’s tears

Flow,

a man beaten down

cries out!

As repentance’s tears

Flow,

a broken spirit

cries out!

As repentance’s tears

Flow,

a captive soul

cries out!

As repentance’s tears

Flow,

Cries of:

the humble

Cries of:

the beaten down

Cries of:

the broken spirit

Cries of:

the captive soul

touch Yeshua’s throne.

Abba cries:

I love you!

Monday Quotes!

Oswald Chambers

1874-1917

Prayer does not fit us for the greater work;

prayer is the greater work.

Get into the habit of saying,

“Speak Lord”

and life will become a romance.

The meaning of prayer is that

we get hold of God,

not the answer.

It is the image of God reflected in you that so enrages hell; it is this at which the demons hurl their mightest weapons. ~ William Gurnall
