Monday Quotes!

Poem that will give you goose bumps…………..

A drunk man in an Oldsmobile
They said had run the light
That caused the six-car pileup
On 109 that night.

When broken bodies lay about
And blood was everywhere,
The sirens screamed out eulogies,
For death was in the air.

A mother, trapped inside her car,
Was heard above the noise;
Her plaintive plea near split the air:
Oh, God, please spare my boys!”

She fought to loose her pinned hands;
She struggled to get free,
But mangled metal held her fast
In grim captivity.

Her frightened eyes then focused
On where the back seat once had been,
But all she saw was broken glass and
Two children’s seats crushed in.

Her twins were nowhere to be seen;
She did not hear them cry,
And then she prayed they’d been thrown free,
Oh, God, don’t let them die!”

Then firemen came and cut her loose,
But when they searched the back,
They found therein no little boys,
But the seat belts were intact.

They thought the woman had gone mad
And was travelling alone,
But when they turned to question her,
They discovered she was gone.

Policemen saw her running wild
And screaming above the noise
In beseeching supplication,
Please help me find my boys!

They’re four years old and wear blue shirts;
Their jeans are blue to match.”
One cop spoke up, “They’re in my car,
And they don’t have a scratch.

They said their daddy put them there
And gave them each a cone,
Then told them both to wait for Mom
To come and take them home.

I’ve searched the area high and low,
But I can’t find their dad.
He must have fled the scene,
I guess, and that is very bad.”

The mother hugged the twins and said,
While wiping at a tear,
He could not flee the scene, you see,
For he’s been dead a year.”

The cop just looked confused and asked,
Now, how can that be true?”
The boys said, “Mommy, Daddy came
And left a kiss for you.”

He told us not to worry
And that you would be all right,
And then he put us in this car with
The pretty, flashing light.

We wanted him to stay with us,
Because we miss him so,
But Mommy, he just hugged us tight
And said he had to go.

He said someday we’d understand
And told us not to fuss,
And he said to tell you, Mommy,
He’s watching over us.”

The mother knew without a doubt.
That what they spoke was true,
For she recalled their dad’s last words,
I will watch over you.”

The firemen’s notes could not explain
The twisted, mangled car,
And how the three of them escaped
Without a single scar.

But on the cop’s report was scribed,
In print so very fine,
An angel walked the beat tonight
on Hwy. 109

3:00 A. M. Follow Up!

It took some doing but I found a song that is almost the same as to what I heard on the radio just in case you might want to hear it:

One more little note I sorry for taking so long to get around to reading all of your post, many of which deserve a comment yet I find words hard to come by as of  lately.  I am also sorry for taking so long for getting back to your comments you have made to me and again I am having a hard time finding words for a reply. Lack of words may also be why I have not written much poetry as of late. God bless all of you and peace be with you, Amen.

Monday Quotes!

Peter Marshall

1902-1949

You are leaving port under

sealed orders and in a

troubled period. You cannot

know whither you

are going or what you are to do.

But why not take

the Pilot on board who knows

the nature of your

sealed orders from the outset,

and who will shape

your entire voyage

accordingly?He knows the

shoals and the sand banks,

the rocks and the

reefs, He will steer you safely

into that celestial

harbor where your anchor

will be cast for

eternity. Let His almighty

nail-pierced hands hold

the wheel, and you will be safe.

Monday Quote!

Benjamin Franklin

1706-1790

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Monday Quote!

Benjamin Franklin

1706-1790

Educate your children to self-control to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will, and you have done much to abolish misery from their future and crimes from society.

Long Time!

It has been a long time I have had been without a real way of going on-line. Yesterday I was given an early Christmas present, a new iPad Mini and also got internet installed in my home. Many of you know I have moved from Florida to Tennessee, where I was able to find a new job. Or should I say a anew job found me, I was recruited by a company out of Washington D. C. and my top-secret clearance was up dated. Not much I can tell you about what I do now, but I leave the house at 3:30AM and return home at around 6:30PM. Also not much time to write, barely enough time to eat and sleep, but it is a new field to harvest.

I want to say to all in the past I tried to keep up with all your post but have not done such a good job, that I am sorry for and ask you to forgive me? I have been very slow on responding to comments and may have miss some, again sorry! The smart phone was far to smart for me to use to keep up!

Hopefully now I may do a better job and soon there shall be a new poem posted soon. I want to thank you all for your prayers and love. May God Bless and keep you may His face shine upon you now and forever, Amen.

Happy Thanksgiving, James

A Precious Jewel

Abba’s most precious jewel

His most favorite child

In her one finds only Love.

She reflects Christ.

Hand cut by the master

Perfectly polished every facet

In her one finds only Love.

She reveals Christ.

Her touch invites

Her embrace soft and warm

In her arms one finds only Love.

She is the ardor of Christ.

Her voice a gift

Singing songs of praise

Greater than that of angels

In her songs one finds only love.

She is the morning song of Christ.

Greater radiance than any diamond

Fire beyond any ruby

Richness exceeding the sapphire

In her brilliance one only finds love.

She shines of Christ.

A gift given

To one man

Till death do they part.

In her I have found only LOVE.

For she is the gift

My bride on loan

to me

She is the bride of Christ.

Happy Birthday

My bride

Quote of the month from Winnie the Pooh:

My spelling is wobbly.

It’s good spelling but it wobbles

and the letters get in

the wrong places!

Oh Pooh Bear I just know how you feel my spelling  also wobbles!

This post is just to tell everyone Men of One Accord will be shutting down for some time for I shall be moving to Knoxville Tn. It is a little over 700 mile move and I am not sure now long I shall be without internet. I will try to keep up with you all out there as I use my laptop in wi-fi hot spots to read your posts and email. May I ask of you to keep my wife and I in your prayers as we make this move as our Abba places us upon your hearts.

When Men of One Accord returns it shall be in a new city answering a new calling of God in my life. I know I shall still be in men’s prayer groups but now writing for the souls of our children. As the prophet Joel called out to his people to repent I too cry out so that our children may learn of the love of Jesus.

Joel 1:3

Tell it to your children,

and let your children tell it

to their children,

and their children to the next

generation.

May the love of Jesus fill you to overflowing, may His peace surround you, and in your weakness may you rest in His loving arms, Amen.

The Storm

Out to sea this vessel set sail

Winds soon turned to gale

Battering waves besieged

 Vessel’s hull bucked

Sea spilled in

 The vessel stalled

Making no way against the wind

At all.

Till the Master spoke:

Peace My child

Be still.

This vessel is going to

The other side.

Into the eye of the storm

This vessel did sail.

Winds claimed

As waves retreated

Pumps engaged

Oceans’ water returned

To the sea

Hands hasten

Hatches re-fortified

Planks re-fasten

Heart beats slowed

Deep breaths taken,

As the Master spoke:

Peace my child

Be still.

This vessel is going to

The other side.

Out of the eye of the storm

This vessel did sail.

Cyclone determined

To make its final rail

Winds growled

The tempest hailed.

Timbers strained

Ribbing twisted

Planking cracked

Seams leaked

The vessel was surely lost.

Till the Master spoke:

Peace My child

Be still.

This vessel has reached

The other side.

2013 Just a Request?

Well everyone I was given one request from our Abba at the beginning of 2013 that I may not have written about. Abba Father’s desire was for me to bless all who I come into contact with.

Of course my reply was: I don’t know how, Abba! I am not saying no to you Abba, but I am not sure I even know what it is to bless? What I have leaned is I am still not sure what it is to bless someone. But our Abba has blessed me beyond words this past year. All of you have been a part of the love poured out of heaven to me. Thank-You!

Abba, With great thankfulness I come before You and bow before Your throne to worship, praise and give thanks for all my brothers and sisters You have placed in my life.  Grateful for brothers and sisters that pray whole heartily for one another and carry one another’s burdens to the cross of the Messiah for each other when the load becomes too heavy to bear. I ask of You my Abba to now open the flood gates of heaven and pour out blessings to everyone in my life and supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. May the peace and grace of Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.
